First month on a legacy PHP system

The job is not a rewrite. It is access, a map, and a runbook before you touch the money paths.

Do not tour the whole codebase on day one

Read what exists. Ask for repos, servers, cloud consoles, databases, CI, monitoring and secrets. Write down what is unclear. Use the outgoing developer for gaps you cannot see in git: fragile crons, unpaid invoices, the one server that is still special.

Make it boot locally

A Docker compose file that brings up PHP, the database and Redis is worth more than a slide about microservices. If the app only runs on a snowflake VM, that is the first risk to name, not the first rewrite to sell.

Map money and failure

List checkout, webhooks, cron, queues and the alerts that fire when they fail. Note versions (PHP, framework, MySQL) without pretending they must all jump this sprint. Document the usual incident steps while you still have someone to ask.

Rewrite last

Integrono takes over live PHP - including older Yii and custom cores - by making the system operable. A Laravel migration happens when the risk and the budget say so, not because the resume prefers a newer framework.
